Birthdays

I just celebrated a birthday & while some people may complain, I think birthdays are wonderful. I learned, many years ago, that for 40 days after your birthday, you can make wishes to the Universe.
Forty is an important number in many cultures. Remember the story in the Bible of Noah and his family enduring 40 days and nights of rain and Jesus fasting for 40 days in the desert? There are 40 days of Lent before the celebration of Easter. Psychologists say that it takes 40 days to cement a habit change in one's personality. It may take 21 days to change, but 40 is the magic number to confirm the change.
Making wishes to the Universe may be a bit Pollyanna-ish, but it offers a way to give back to the Universe that doesn't cost you money, just an effort to intend on purpose. You can wish for one thing each day, such as blessing the Rain Forest or sending anonymous blessings to shut-ins, or any infinite number of good wishes.
The wonderful thing about this exercise is that your wishes bounce back to you multiplied. You may not know which wish is returning to you in a good way, but the laws of the Universe make it so: "As above, so below" and "What you sow, you shall reap."
If you have difficulty in thinking of a wish to send out to the Universe, ask your Infinite Angels for ideas. They will offer you ideas that will be compatible with your personality, beliefs, and ideals.
And today, I wish that you find the Wonderment and Joy of a young child in each day!
