ENLIGHTENMENT

The path to enlightenment is paradoxical and different for everyone. No matter how much the religions of the world fill you up with rules, dogma, and regulations, the end result is that you must realize that you are already enlightened.

Think of the Buddha’s life. He was born Gautama Siddhartha, a wealthy prince and heir to the throne in the region that is now Nepal, India. His father so desperately wanted Siddhartha to inherit the throne that he forbade anyone at the palace to frown, speak of bad news, or exhibit pain in front of the prince. For almost 30 years, Siddhartha was basically kept unconscious; his father refused to allow him to become aware of sickness, old age, or suffering. Even chains of gold are still chains.

When Siddhartha finally left the confines of the palace, he reportedly saw a dying man, a decaying corpse, and a beggar. It is said that he became so depressed that he vowed to become an ascetic until he reached enlightenment. He sat under a tree for weeks. One day, he simply declared that he was enlightened. He then taught what is called the Middle Way, which is avoiding gluttony and also avoiding scarcity.

The brilliant point that I see in the life of Buddha is that he really did nothing out of the ordinary. He simply lived his life. When he felt that he was enlightened, he declared it to be so. He stated the fact, and so it was.

Many great teachers, saints, and guides began their lives with wealth and abundance. However, they had an inner urge to discover more to life. They refused to accept that acquiring material possessions was the only purpose in life. They searched for inner peace. Inner peace is true wealth and is a reflection of the state of enlightenment.

You can connect with Buddha energy in meditation as well as Jesus, Mother Mary, Chief Joseph, or any spiritual master or guide. You can also connect with your Infinite Angels anytime to receive guidance, comfort, and protection.

Remember, enlightenment is not something that you need to strive for; it is something that you only need to remember that you are!

Infinite Blessings from your Infinite Angels.
