My mind was in an inquisitive state recently and I just started asking myself questions beginning with, “What if?”
For example, “What if we were all one, big soul before the ‘big bang’?” Would that mean we were once not separated? Could that be the reason scientists are searching (and have been for a hundred years) for the answer to the unification theory?
Perhaps we recognize ourselves in others because we were once them. Psychiatrists claim that we see in others a reflection of ourselves. Maybe this relates to more than personality. Perhaps it is recognition of a soul connection.
Ancient teachings say that we became individuated souls. From what? It must have been one, ginormous soul. Did it all become individuated or did some of it remain in a huge conglomeration to take care of the rest of us? If this is the case, are the parts as big as the whole, or does it even matter?
If that were true, and I am not saying it is – I am just speculating, could that be how we were created from God’s image?
What if we were all one, big soul? That would mean that you are me and I am you. How could I be against you, knowing that? How could you be against me with this understanding? Could this be the ancient truth that will bring peace to the planet?

GATEWAY
We live in a world of symbolism. This third dimension inundates us with constant data input that we must make sense of with how it pertains to our own life. The fact is that you are reading this discourse right now. The symbolism (what it means in your life and to you in particular) is whatever you perceive it to be for you. Everyone’s perceptions are just a little bit different because all humans are the same in uniquely different ways.
Some symbols, omens, and signs are archetypal. That means that they have much the same meaning for most everyone. For example, the goddess, Venus, is an archetypal representation of any female energy that exhibits exquisite beauty, grace, softness, radiance, warmth, sensuality, and attractiveness. The opposing side of that archetypal coin would be the god, Aries. Aries is the example of male energy that exhibits protection, strength, power, might, force, potency, and aggressiveness.
Modern symbols include traffic signs such as an X to indicate a railroad crossing ahead or a circle with a diagonal line from one edge of the circumference to the other, which indicates that a certain action, such as parking your car or smoking, is prohibited in that area. Another example is a sign with binoculars painted on it that tells you that a certain spot is a good place to observe wildlife.
Numerologically, today - this day 1/11/2011, is the symbol of a Gateway. I believe (and you must make your own determination) that this is the last gateway into the promise of higher vibrational frequencies for the Universe. This is the last gateway of the many that we have experienced since the Harmonic Convergence in 1987. We have felt Gaia’s axis shift, volcanic eruptions of Mt. St. Helen, the cleansing power of hurricanes and countless earthquakes.
Those of us who are privileged to be alive in a physical body on the planet today are moving through the final gateway into 2012.
Everything about us – our being, our bodies, our minds, and our heart energies – is more potent than at any other time in recent history.
It is more important than ever to stay connected to Source through your Infinite Angels. Ask them to come and live with you. Connect with your Ascended Masters, Guardians, and Guides as well as your Angels. Ask them for guidance to move you gently through the next step in your evolution. Ask them to protect you even more strongly than they have in the past. Ask them to remind you often to ask good questions that will benefit you and help you to get the most out of life.
Most of all, ask them to help you to open your heart energy to feel the love that Creator and all of Creation has for you. Ask them to help you to embrace the peace that resides in the Divine Light of God that is in your center. Go to your center often through self-hypnosis, meditation, and contemplation.

THE QUICKENING
Here it is; we are in the year 2011. It seems like just last week it was the year 2000! The world really is speeding up. NASA scientists have had to re-adjust the atomic clocks to compensate for the Earth’s increased axial revolutions. We have instant knowledge from the other side of the planet with social interconnectivity. People trust their intuition more because they are experiencing rapid results in their life.
It is an empirical fact that evolution occurs exponentially. This means that when a form evolves on Earth, it evolves from the knowledge gained rather than from an initial starting point. This is a Quickening. This is what all life is experiencing now.
For example, a mouse that has learned to navigate a maze in an experimental laboratory will pass this evolutionary knowledge to its descendants through its DNA. The knowledge of mazes is passed on to following generations of mice. Consecutive generations will conquer simple mazes more quickly than mice bred from parents that never experienced navigating a maze in the lab.
Evolutionary leaps within the human form are occurring at breakneck speeds. Ancient texts and wisdom teachers have always known that humans are remarkable and have unlimited power to create. In the past, controlling powers and governments have attempted to suppress the knowledge of human capability and the amazing process of evolution. They have distracted us by engaging our attention in wars and fear.
Divine Light always prevails and now we are consciously aware that we are aware. Technology has caught up with ancient wisdom and scientists have proven that people can see auras, can communicate telepathically, can exhibit astonishing feats of strength, can heal spontaneously, and can accomplish an infinite number of achievements.
Ask your Infinite Angels to help you keep in mind your unlimited potential. You can especially call upon Angel Metatron and Ascended Master St. Germain to help you transform lower vibrating energies into higher frequencies. Ask Archangel Michael to help you cut through all of the sensationalism that is rampant in the media today. Ask Archangel Raphael to help you to heal any hurt or pain you feel in your awareness of suffering – in the world or in your own life.

LONGEVITY
I recently read an interesting article in which the author indicated a belief that the life-span of human beings could be related to the emotional pain we are willing to endure. In other words, humans seem to be able to bear the sufferings and heartbreak of the world and their personal life for only about 100 years. I thought this was an interesting hypothesis.
Taking this a step further, I believe that authenticity is a determining factor in our ability to create longevity. Consider for example, the person who genuinely can give voice to his or her truth with confidence and good self-esteem, yet without judging or tearing down another human being. Following this logic, an authentic human being would have less depletion on heart energy. They would be able to act with honour and integrity because everything they did would be an action of love.
I believe authenticity is the most noble of qualities that a person can develop. The courage to compliment another person with genuine admiration and without fearing that it will make you seem emotionally weak is a splendid quality. The confidence to critique another’s (or your own) actions and offer beneficial or more effective solutions can be very valuable.
I believe authenticity is intelligence in action and being. It takes no cleverness whatsoever to fight with another person. It takes great intellectual capability to negotiate an evenhanded and fair outcome to disagreeing parties.
I believe it is a brilliant practice to ask our Infinite Angels every day, several times a day, to help us to be authentic and genuine as well as compassionate and caring. The qualities that we develop within will shape our outer world.

MERCURY RETROGRADE DEC 2010
When a planet (in today’s case, Mercury) goes retrograde, it appears to move backwards. It does not really move backwards – that is silly. A planet, star, galaxy, or any object moving in a particular circular pattern cannot stop itself and move in an opposing directional pattern.
A planet moving retrograde gives the impression that it is moving backward because other planets or the earth seem to move faster in their elliptical orbits. It is similar to a pair of trains moving in the same direction on parallel tracks. To the passengers in the faster train, it will appear that the slower train is moving backwards, although it is still moving forwards.
The symbol for retrograde is an Rx, just like the pharmaceutical symbol for a prescription. This just means we need a little help… not drugs! You can think of the symbol as representing a re-do, re-cycle, re-think, re-pair, or any other thing/word with a re- in front of it.
If you purchase something in the time of Mercury retrograde, you may need to re-turn it to the store because of a defect that you didn’t notice. You got home and re-examined the item, found the defect and realized you had to go back and get another one that is without flaws. Really, a retrograde just means that you need to be more careful and aware reguarding any qualities of that planet or the house it is traveling through at the time.
Mercury is the planet of communications, so you may notice a difference in how statements are affecting you or that you are more or less careful with your pronouncements to others.
The positive effects of Mercury retrograde are often found in re-connecting with old friends, re-gifting important sentimental items, or re-discovering delightful places you once enjoyed.
This particular Mercury retrograde lasts from Dec. 10th to Dec. 30th, 2010. There is a period of adjustment for a few days after Dec. 30th until the planet appears to re-stabilize.

CHANGES
Human beings are often uncomfortable with change. Everything changes. Things change constantly. Even our bodies are ceaselessly making changes, creating new cells to replace dead cells, exchanging atoms and molecules.
The earth is changing rapidly. We are noticing more erratic weather. The planet is spinning more rapidly upon its axis. Scientists have had to speed up atomic clocks that were supposed to keep correct time down to the millisecond for the next few hundred years.
One of the often sad changes that we must deal with is the loss of loved ones. There are almost 7 billion people in the world now so it makes sense that many people would die and many would be born. And, I do not know about others, but it seems to me that there are a lot of people crossing over to the other side recently. There seems to be a world-wide grieving for loss of loved ones. I see people grieving for those who have died that they did not even know.
On a subconscious level, we are all connected. Although we are still connected in spirit with loved ones, it can be difficult to deal with the physical loss.
This is a poem by Mary Elizabeth Frye that I often share with friends and loved ones who have experienced a loss. For me, it is an expression of hope, love, and peace.
DO NOT STAND AT MY GRAVE AND WEEP
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am in a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow.
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.
I am in the morning hush,

TRIBUTE
This beautiful planet is a playground as well as a classroom. If you are lucky, you may realize that you can play as well as learn. This is just one of the profound truths that I learned from my beloved teacher & elder, Shakmah Winddrum. My beautiful Spiritual Mother crossed over into spirit on Thursday, November 26, 2010.
I first met Shakmah in 1996 & it was she that truly accelerated & motivated me along the spiritual path. Even before I met her, when I heard her name, it took my breath away. I knew she was an incredibly important person to me. I valued her guidance & would often mentally consult with her about choices & decision making. She was kind, brilliant, devoted, compassionate, & powerful. Once at a ceremony, I could feel her energy about 25 feet away. Most people have an energetic space of 2-3 feet.
Shakmah was also a great cook. After a weekend of teaching, she would often serve a feast for the students. Someone once complained that Shakmah had not cooked the meal. She went into the kitchen & I swear the taste of the food changed. I think all she did was stir the pot. She said she put love in the food. All I know is that it really was more flavorful.
Shakmah performed a ceremony for me in which she blessed my hands & throat (because I am a hypnotherapist) for healing. It was interesting that, for a year & a day, I could often see Shakmah’s hands at the end of my wrists.
I believe that I was guided by Spirit to legally change my name because of Shakmah’s love, devotion, & teachings. She helped me to be more, a better person & I love her always.
